St Botolph's Augustinian Priory is a religious foundation located in Colchester, Essex, established in the twelfth century as a house of Augustinian canons. The priory occupied a significant position within the town's ecclesiastical landscape and would have functioned as a centre of religious observance and learning typical of such communities during the medieval period. The site has been subject to archaeological investigation which has revealed evidence of the priory's layout and structural remains. Like many religious houses, the priory was dissolved during the Reformation in the sixteenth century, after which its buildings were repurposed or fell into decay.
