Wick Airfield bomb stores is a Second World War military installation located in Caithness, Scotland, comprising dispersed storage structures situated at three separate locations relative to Upper Ackergill. The bomb stores were built to support RAF operations at Wick Airfield, which served as an active fighter station during the conflict and required secure, geographically separated ordnance storage facilities to minimise risk from enemy bombing. The individual stores would have consisted of concrete or earth-banked magazines designed to contain aircraft ordnance safely whilst allowing rapid access for operational sorties. The site represents the essential infrastructure supporting front-line RAF operations in northern Scotland during the 1940s.
