The Battle

History & Significance

Following the fall of Aberystwyth, English forces turn to Harlech Castle, Glyndwr administrative capital and home to his family. Prince Henry methodically approaches and invests the castle by sea blockade and land siege. The castle had been Glyndwr seat of government since 1404 and its reduction will effectively end organised Welsh resistance.
