The MacDonalds of Keppoch and the Camerons disputed the fertile parallel roads (ancient glacial shorelines) of Glen Roy throughout the sixteenth century. The MacDonald victory in this engagement secured the glen for Keppoch for another generation. The feud between these neighbouring clans was a persistent feature of Lochaber life.
