The Battle

History & Significance

The rebellion spread through Suffolk as a connected but separate rising. Suffolk rebels attacked enclosures and assembled their own camps. The fear that the revolt would spread across all of East Anglia and threaten London accelerated the government's dispatch of Warwick's army. The Suffolk rising was suppressed rapidly after the defeat at Dussindale.
