Kerelaw Castle is a late medieval fortified tower house located in Ayrshire, Scotland. The castle dates from the fifteenth or sixteenth century and represents the type of defensive residential structure built by Scottish gentry during the later medieval period. The tower house survives as a substantial stone structure, though in ruinous condition, and would originally have served both domestic and defensive purposes for its occupants.
