Mid Ochtrelure enclosure is a post-medieval field enclosure located approximately 250 metres north-north-west of Mid Ochtrelure in Wigtownshire, south-west Scotland. The site is evidenced by surviving earthwork remains that reflect the agricultural reorganisation and land management practices characteristic of the post-medieval period. Such enclosures typically represent the formalisation of field boundaries and the intensification of pastoral or arable farming during the sixteenth century onwards, marking the transition from earlier medieval land-use patterns. The monument's survival in earthwork form provides archaeological evidence of the landscape changes that accompanied early modern rural settlement and economy in this part of Galloway.
