Monzie Castle is a Bronze Age stone circle and cup and ring marked stone located in Perthshire, Scotland, approximately 850 metres to the south-east of the settlement of Monzie Castle. The monument represents an important concentration of prehistoric ritual activity on this Perthshire landscape. The underlying bedrock consists of Arbuthnott-Garvock Group geology, composed principally of sandstone with subordinate deposits of conglomerate, siltstone and mudstone, dating from the Pragian period.
The stone circle itself is characteristic of Bronze Age ceremonial monuments, a type erected across Scotland between approximately 3000 and 1000 BC for purposes related to communal gatherings, seasonal ceremonies and astronomical observation.
