History & Significance

After the catastrophic Battle of the Shirts at Loch Lochy (Blar na Léine), where MacDonalds and Frasers had nearly annihilated each other, skirmishes continued as survivors sought revenge and tried to recover their wounded. These follow-on actions in the Great Glen added to the already enormous casualties and extended the battle's effects over several days.
