Llantwit Major Dovecot is a medieval dovecote located in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales. The structure dates to the medieval period and represents an important example of agricultural infrastructure associated with a prosperous ecclesiastical or manorial establishment. As a dovecote, it would have served the dual purpose of providing a reliable source of fresh meat and eggs for the inhabitants of Llantwit Major, whilst also functioning as a symbol of status and authority, as the keeping of pigeons was a privilege often restricted to those of rank. The surviving fabric of the building preserves evidence of its original design and construction methods typical of medieval Welsh agricultural buildings.
